This section describes the HP Command View EVA fixes. Following are the fixes implemented in HP Command View EVA 7.0.1: The link for controller events works accurately. Previously, clicking on link for some controller events caused unexpected Command View EVA service termination. With this patch, the Command View EVA termination for the above operation is resolved. The Windows Server 2008 (denoted as Windows LH in the Command View EVA GUI) host mode is restricted to valid firmware versions. Previously, Command View EVA allowed client requests to create or set Windows Server 2008 (denoted as Windows LH in the Command View EVA GUI) hosts for all firmware versions. With this patch, Command View EVA restricts the creation or setting of Windows Server 2008 (denoted as Windows LH in the Command View EVA GUI) host mode for only those firmware versions that support it. DR group folder properties reports correctly. Previously, if there was only one EVA in the SAN, Command View EVA, when queried to get the DR group folder properties, intermittently displayed the No initialized storage system objects found error. With this patch, this issue is resolved. Error message displays. Previously, if a snapclone was created on an EVA that already had the maximum supported virtual disk objects, the array became unresponsive. With this patch, Command View EVA displays the error Maximum Number of Objects Exceeded , and continues to function normally. Faster response to GUI and client requests. Previously, Command View EVA took time to process GUI and client requests. With this patch, the CV EVA response time to GUI and client requests is much faster. Deletion process for a failed virtual disk is handled properly. Previously, the start deletion process operation did not work for a failed virtual disk if it had a mirrorclone relationship. Also, after this failure, the mirrorclone was not detached/deleted. With this patch, Command View EVA gives an appropriate error message for the operation and also enables the manual detach/deletion of the mirrorclone. usedstoragespacegb value is displayed correctly.
Previously, the client request to get properties of a disk group displayed an incorrect value for the usedstoragespacegb field. With this patch, this issue is resolved and the correct value is displayed. Time to generate event is improved. Previously, when an EVA was discovered, there were consistency and delay issues in reporting the 5012 event, which disabled WEBES and other applications from monitoring it. With this patch, the consistency and delay issues are resolved. Authentication issue resolved The authentication issue is now resolved in HP Command View EVA and the local groups are no longer used when domain groups are selected. CV EVA returns information for vdisk getproperties request. Previously, Command View EVA 7.0 did not always return remotevdisk information for vdisk getproperties client request, when the vdisk is a member of Data Replication group. With this patch, Command View EVA always returns remotevdisk information for vdisk getproperties client request. iSNS can be Enabled/Disabled from HP Command View EVA. Previously iSNS setting could not be changed from HP Command View EVA. With this patch, HP Command View EVA allows user to modify the settings to Enable/Disable iSNS. HP Command View EVA fetches the list of hosts including iSCSI host type. Previously, HP Command View EVA used to fail in fetching list of hosts for layered applications, if one or more iSCSI hosts exists.
Symptom: An error message is displayed on in HP Command View EVA 7.0 or later that only shows Status code: xx (such as Status code: 54) instead of the following descriptive text such as:Vdisk is a DR group member Solution: It may be that the Windows Regional Options settings are configured for a non-English language. Perform the following steps to change your Windows Regional Options: In the Control Panel, click Date, Time, Regional and Language Options. NOTE: Steps 1 and 2 may differ depending on the Control Panel view you are using. |

Select Advanced tab, and from the Language for non-Unicode programs section, select English (United States) from the drop-down list. Click OK to retry the operation.
The following is a limitation for HP Command View EVA: The instructions for the Online disk drive code load procedure in the HP Command View EVA online help state that you can browse to the bundled image file; however, this is incorrect. You must manually enter the location of the extracted bundled image. The default location for this file is <install directory>:Program FilesHewlett-PackardSanworksElement Manager for StorageWorks HSVuploads but it can be changed. Manual impresora hp deskjet 610c printer. Warranty withdrawn refurbished product: References a warranty that no longer applies, because the product has been refurbished as was sold ‘as is’ without a warranty. TIP: Ensure that the path provided for Online disk drive code load, is accessible from the management server where HP Command View EVA is installed. |
For this release, the following enhancements have been made to HP StorageWorks Command View EVAPerf. HP Command View EVAPerf is enhanced to enable clients to obtain its version information. Better formatting of the output from the TLVIZ Formatter, a visualization tool that helps in graphically representing data.

Following are the fixes implemented in HP StorageWorks Command View EVAPerf: Command View EVA 7.0.1 is required in order to be able to successfully query friendly names for vd, vdg, pd, pdg from EVAPerf 7.0.1. User-friendly names are displayed for disk groups. Previously, the pd and pdg commands did not display user-friendly names for disk groups. With this patch, both commands display user-friendly names for disk groups. No duplicate lines in the mof command output. Previously, the mof command would have duplicate lines of output written to the files. With this patch, the output lines are written accurately. Virtual disk metrics for all virtual disks are displayed. Previously, for controllers with firmware version VCS 4.xxx, the virtual disk metrics were not displayed for more than 512 virtual disks in an EVA. With this patch, all virtual disks metrics are displayed for all disks. EVAPerf service stable during hardware failures. Previously, the EVAPerf service was not stable if there were hardware failures. With this patch, the EVAPerf service works fine even during hardware failures.
HPS command displays host port name correctly when one of the host ports is disabled. Previously, HPS command would show wrong host port name when one of the host ports was disabled. With this patch, the host port names are shown correctly even when there are disabled host ports.
Enclosure and bay information are displayed correctly. Previously, Pd command was sometimes not displaying the enclosure and bay information correctly. With this fix, the pd command shows the enclosure and bay information correctly and also provides the disk WWN for easy mapping of the disk with its location.
Symptom: When a load database operation is carried out through TLVIZ formatter, and if the input file contains the DRM data, the following error message is displayed: Unable to load the data into the access database Solution: In the database change the following field names for the tunnel table DRM and reload the database: Min Copy Resources to Free Copy Resources Min Write Resources to Free Write Resources Min Command Resources to Free Command Resources
