• I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and the driver for the printer isn't cooperating nicely. The driver (substituted with hp 990c driver to take care of 64 bit obstacle) worked fine with Windows 7 64 bit.
• While there is not any longer Full Feature Software software for the printer, you might be able to get 'basic' function by using the Windows Driver. Scanning might be a bit tougher -- Windows 10 includes several scan program options and there is HP and third party (free) software that may well work.
• HP had provided a workaround for using the workhorse Deskjet 6122 printer in a Windows 7 environment (use the Deskjet 990C driver), but Windows 10 - 5198195.
