Click the “Apply” button in the dialog box. Click the “Start” button to activate the scan. Do not lift the cover or move the item on the platen glass. A window will open and display the thumbnail in the new folder. If the image is scanned to a PDF, the Adobe Reader icon will display in the folder.
Tip
- If the item is smaller than the platen glass, you will see extra space surrounding the item in the image. A photo editing program can help you crop the extra space.
- Other options for Paper Size in the Save dialog box include Business Card, A4 and Custom.
- Turn off the power switch and disconnect the power cord at the back to clean the machine. Clean the platen glass with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth and then dry by wiping with a soft, dry cloth.
